What F-41 / F-45 / F-46 (110 / Whirlpool-built Oasis) Means
These three Oasis codes concern the blower motor itself: F-41 and F-46 for the motor failing, and F-45 for the speed sensor that reports how fast it is turning. Without moving air the dryer will not run a heated cycle at all.
Common Causes of F-41 / F-45 / F-46 (110 / Whirlpool-built Oasis)
- A blower motor failed or seized
- A blower speed sensor no longer reporting
- Lint packed around the blower wheel adding load to the motor
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clear the lint screen and the vent run before assuming the blower has failed — a blower struggling against a blocked duct can read as a motor fault.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Cut power at the breaker, and shut off the gas at the appliance valve on gas models, before the blower housing is opened.
- A blower wheel packed with lint is a fire-safety issue as much as a performance one, and it is cleared properly rather than poked at.
- A motor fitted into a lint-packed housing loads up and fails again.
