What F52 / F53 / F54 (110 / Whirlpool-built Oasis) Means
These three Oasis codes all concern the motor-driving section built into the main control board: F52 where the motor did not stop when told to, F53 where that section is overheating, and F54 where it is drawing more current than it should.
Common Causes of F52 / F53 / F54 (110 / Whirlpool-built Oasis)
- Excess friction in the drive system raising current draw
- A failing drive motor loading the control section beyond its rating
- The motor control section of the main board failed in its own right
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Report what triggers it — a full load, a particular cycle, or any load at all — because a fault that only appears under heavy loads points at friction rather than at the board itself.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Running the machine repeatedly through an over-current fault is the quickest way to finish off the board.
- Because the motor drive is part of the main board here, a drive fault and a board fault carry the same bill.
- A board fitted while a dragging drive is the real cause fails again in short order.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
