What F2E0 / F2E1 / F3E0 / F6E1 (664-prefix) Means
Four faults from the 664-prefix Kenmore slide-in range chart: F2E0 for a keypad disconnected from the control, F2E1 for a stuck key, F3E0 for an oven temperature sensor failure, and F6E1 where the oven has run too hot.
Common Causes of F2E0 / F2E1 / F3E0 / F6E1 (664-prefix)
- A keypad ribbon disconnected from the oven control
- A key held down by spillage or a failed membrane
- An oven temperature sensor out of specification, or a stuck heating relay
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
For F2E1, press down and around every key on the keypad to free the stuck one — the chart names that action specifically, and it costs nothing to try.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If F6E1 is showing, switch the range off at the breaker and let it cool before anything else — an over-temperature report deserves that first.
- A slide-in range must be drawn out of its cabinet before most panels can be reached, which needs two people.
- A sensor fitted without checking its harness gives the same reading as the one removed.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
