What Er / Or / Sr / CE (Calypso) Means
These Calypso displays all concern the electronics: Er where the control board failed to save cycle information during a power interruption, Or and Sr for a failed relay on the main board, and CE for the main and motor control boards losing contact.
Common Causes of Er / Or / Sr / CE (Calypso)
- A power interruption during a cycle
- A relay failed on the main electronic control board
- The harness between main and motor control boards damaged or unseated
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
For Er, press Stop or Cancel to clear the display and start a fresh cycle; a single occurrence after a power cut often means nothing more than that.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Control boards for this platform are increasingly hard to source, so confirming which board has failed matters more than usual.
- Both boards are live with the machine plugged in and sit in a console above a tub of water.
- Opening the console to compare boards may affect any coverage that still applies — check your terms first.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
